Q: What are the charges for engaging your agency?
A: It is free. We do not charge any admin or agency fees unlike other agencies. Our commission is collected directly from the teachers.
Q: What happens after I submit an enquiry with your agency?
A: After we have received your enquiry and noted on your preferences for a teacher, we will email our teachers and within 24h or less, you will receive a PDF of the profiles of teachers who are available to teach you.
About Lesson Fees
Q: What are the rates for Beginner Guitar / Beginner Ukulele lessons at my home?
A: Kindly refer to Rates of Guitar Lessons for the market rates of Guitar lessons in Singapore.
Q: Is there any difference in fee if the teacher comes to my place or if I go to their studio?
A: Not really. Some teachers do not have a studio so they don't mind charging the same rates to travel to student's place to teach.
You can indicate in your form submission that you are ok with lessons either at your home or teacher's home and we will shortlist both for you to compare for yourself.
Q: How do I pay the lessons fees?
A: All lesson fees are to be paid directly to the teachers. Most teachers would collect the fees at the start of every 4 lessons. But we can arrange for the first lesson to be a trial lesson whereby you only need to pay for 1 lesson before deciding if you'd like to continue or try another teacher out.
Q: Can I pay the teacher via PayNow / PayLah! instead of Cash?
A: Most teachers are flexible with that and accept the fees in cash, bank transfer and PayNow. But it's best to check with the teacher on their most preferred method.
Q: What if I have paid the teacher for the month and the teacher does not turn up for lessons thereafter?
Ever since we have started the agency in 2011, none of our teachers have dared to do so because they know the severity of this. They will be blacklisted in our agencies and we will also inform other agencies about their actions.
However, should this happen to you, please contact our agency immediately.
At SGuitar Music Agency, we value our customers and we are here to help you feel confident and protected when you look for music teachers under our agency hence we have come up with a Customer Protection Policy and you will be refunded the fees for lessons unattended as long as it is under our list of Terms and Conditions.
