He's also taught me a lot from a technical standpoint, how to properly restring my guitar, gear etc. He knows his stuff.
In general what I really like about Ethan's teaching is that it isn’t forced. He introduce techniques and ideas that I can explore on my own, rather following a strict set of rules. The experience of being tutored by Jun Rong has been very educational. His teachings are very easy to follow and constructive. Due to his patience and dedication, it motivates me to practice more during my free time and spends most of my time enjoying playing guitar. He made sure that I won't be overwhelmed by his teachings and specifies areas I should give special attention to. That and also, I'm comfortable having conversations with him which allows us to communicate better.
The progress I've felt, personally, is that my skills has been improved tremendously. Any minor mistakes made now is significantly less as compared to when I first started. I have gained many new knowledge and now, I'm comfortably playing on my own. Playing the guitar isn’t really my peer's interests but I'd still recommend Jun Rong if they ever decide to hone a new skill. So thank you, Jun Rong for your time and effort. I'll do my best!

Zhengyong is my first ever guitar instructor and I have been taking classes from him for 6 months now and I am so glad that I didn't go with the infamous online / self-paced approach like most newbies do. In the first 6 months, where most beginners usually give up, you ideally need a true coach right beside you like Zhengyong that understands your unique learning style, fine tunes the course structure accordingly, motivates and pushes you wherever needed.
Always positive, encouraging and patient, Zhengyong is great at both theory and practice. Highly recommended!
